After last year's hybrid format, the closed professional event, which brought together the key players of the Hungarian money and capital markets, was again held in person, this time at the new headquarters of the Budapest Stock Exchange. The awards gala began with an opening speech by Dr. Mihály Patai, President of the BSE and Vice President of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Sándor Csányi, Chairman and CEO of OTP Bank, and Richárd Végh, CEO of the Budapest Stock Exchange. The Ministry of Finance was represented by Gábor Gion, State Secretary for Finance, while the Ministry of Innovation and Technology was represented by László György, State Secretary for Economic Strategy and Regulation.
The BSE awarded prizes in a total of 26 categories. As in previous years, the winners were selected by a professional jury of members of the Exchange's Advisory Board, based on the market performance of listed companies, while the online domestic share trading platform of the year was again chosen on the basis of online votes cast by users.
Equilor Investment Zrt. was awarded the Investment Service Provider of the Year award, one of the most sought-after awards. Compared to last year, the BSE announced winners in five new categories. Magyar Bankholding Zrt. was named the main distributor of the Growth Bond Programme, while OTP Bank Nyrt. won the Investment Service Provider of the Year for raising capital, and 4iG Nyrt. took home the Long-term Rising Company of the Year award. Two other newly introduced categories were introduced to reward the performance of BÉT Xtend, the BSE's market for medium-sized companies - Gloster Infocommunications Nyrt. was awarded the title of Emerging Company of the Year on the BÉT Xtend market, while Megakrán Nyrt., which achieved the first ever level in the history of the platform, was awarded the BÉT Xtend Special Prize.
A number of prestigious awards from previous years have also returned. For the first time, there was a tie for the Responsibility, Sustainability and Corporate Governance Award, with ALTEO Energiaszolgáltató Nyrt., PannErgy Nyrt. and Magyar Telekom Nyrt. sharing the prize.
OTP Bank Nyrt. was the winner in the category of the highest-turnover share issuer of the year, while MOL Nyrt. came second and Richter Gedeon Nyrt. third. The top share dealers of the year were also recognised, with WOOD & Company taking the top spot, Concorde Értékpapír Zrt. in second place and Erste Befektetési Zrt. in third place. AutoWallis Nyrt. doubled up in the category of capital increase of the year, and as last year, the automotive company took home the BÉT Legek award. The Issuer Transparency Award also attracts increased interest every year - this time, OTP Bank Nyrt. was the winner, according to the jury.
The winner of the Home Stock Trading Platform of the Year category was again voted for by the public in an online poll. As last year, the online trading system with the most votes was again KBC Securities' MobilBroker platform.

About the BÉT Legek awards and event
Every year for more than twenty years, the Budapest Stock Exchange has organised the BÉT Legek, an event that rewards the most outstanding annual performances of the domestic capital market. The awards are decided by a professional jury of members of the Exchange's Advisory Board. In most categories, results will be based on a quantitative methodology (e.g. turnover data) and the best performers will be awarded. The winner of the Home Equity Trading Platform of the Year category will be determined on the basis of the entries received and the users' evaluation.
